Health Equity & Justice Statement
DaisyMe Foundation is committed to health equity, anti-racism, and the systemic changes needed to ensure every person — regardless of race, income, or zip code — can access the healthcare they deserve.
Health equity is not a program. It is a promise.
The United States spends more on healthcare than any other nation — yet millions of Americans, particularly Black, Hispanic, Indigenous, and low-income communities, face staggering barriers to accessing basic care. These are not accidents. They are the predictable outcomes of systems built with inequity at their foundation.
DaisyMe Foundation was founded in response to this reality. We exist because the gap between what healthcare could be and what it is for too many families is unacceptable — and because we believe that gap can be closed through education, navigation, advocacy, and community power.
This statement is our public commitment to the values that guide our work. It is not a destination — it is a direction. We will hold ourselves accountable to it, and we invite our community, partners, and supporters to hold us accountable as well.

What we commit to — and how we will be held accountable.
Health Equity as a Core Value
We believe that health disparities are not inevitable — they are the result of systemic inequities that can and must be addressed. Health equity is not a program or a department at DaisyMe Foundation. It is the lens through which every decision is made.
Centering Community Voice
The communities we serve are not beneficiaries — they are partners. We are committed to building programs, partnerships, and policies that reflect the lived experiences and priorities of the people most impacted by health inequity.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in Our Organization
We are committed to building a team and board that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve. We actively work to identify and dismantle barriers to participation — in hiring, in leadership, and in our organizational culture.
Anti-Racism and Structural Change
We acknowledge that racism — structural, institutional, and interpersonal — is a root cause of health disparities in the United States. We are committed to anti-racist practices in our programs, our partnerships, and our advocacy work.
Accountability and Transparency
We hold ourselves accountable to the communities we serve. We will regularly assess our programs, our team composition, and our organizational practices against our stated commitments — and we will share what we find, including where we fall short.
Advocacy for Systemic Change
Individual navigation and education are essential — but they are not enough. We are committed to advocating for the policy and systemic changes needed to create a healthcare system that works for everyone, not just those with resources and privilege.
